In these pages is the body text of our hire agreement so you can decide before you ride.  We believe our terms are reasonable, and allocate risk and costs fairly.  Once you sign the agreement initially, bikes can be checked in and out simply with a bike check-out table attached to the agreement:

In this agreement, “The Bike” refers to the motorcycle or other vehicle hired under this agreement including all accessories, protective equipment, attachments or trailers supplied with the motorcycle or other vehicle from Time on Bikes to The Hirer.  “The Rider” refers to the person having charge of The Bike, whether The Hirer, The Additional User, or another rider.

The Parties Agree that:

1 Act in Good Faith

Time on Bikes, The Hirer, and The Additional User agree to act in good faith in the conduct of business under this agreement.  Actions by any party that are fraudulent, deceptive, malicious, wilful harm to others or self, wilful damage to property, theft or attempted theft are considered a breach of this agreement.  Regardless of any subsequent terms and conditions in this agreement, the parties reserve the right to seek legal action including damages from the other where such actions are undertaken by another party of this agreement.

2 Agreement Period

This agreement shall remain in force until:

(a)    Terminated in writing by either party; and

(b)    At least 30 calendar days have elapsed since the most recent hire has been completed and all relevant payments have been settled.

Where the agreement is terminated in writing by The Hirer, the agreement stays in force between Time on Bikes and The Additional User.

Where the agreement is terminated in writing by The Additional User, the agreement stays in force between Time on Bikes and The Hirer.

The agreement shall apply regarding any Vehicle supplied by Time on Bikes that The Hirer or The Additional User operate, whether or not listed in this document as The Bike being hired.

2 Authority to Insure

The Hirer is authorised by Time on Bikes to procure at The Hirer’s expense insurance for any loss The Hirer is responsible for under this Agreement.

The Additional User is authorised by Time on Bikes to procure at The Additional User’s expense insurance for any loss The Additional User is responsible for under this Agreement.
