27 Protective Equipment

Time on Bikes requires The Rider to wear an approved motorcycle helmet, motorcycle jacket, long pants, gloves, covered shoes at least ankle high and basic eye protection when riding any motorcycle owned by Time on Bikes.

Time on Bikes recommends all Riders use riding boots, riding pants with knee protection and a helmet visor or safety glasses.

28 Fuel

The Hirer shall ensure the correct type of fuel is used for The Bike.  In most cases this is minimum 95 Octane unleaded petrol.  The Bike will be supplied with Fuel above the warning level.  This means that bikes with fuel taps will be not on ‘reserve’.  For all other vehicles this means that the level will be above the level when the fuel light first comes on.  If The Bike is returned with the fuel light on or on reserve, Time on Bikes will charge an additional $20 fuelling fee.

The Hirer shall not put Ethanol fuel in The Bike unless no other fuel is available without the risk of being stranded.  91 Octane non-ethanol fuel is preferred over any ethanol fuel.

29 Motorcycling and Driving involve risks

The Hirer and The Additional User understand and agree that motorcycling and driving involve risks, and that injury or death can be caused by their own riding or the actions of other road users.  The Rider has more control over The Riders risk of injury than Time on Bikes.
